OSRS Leagues 5 Raging Echoes Ultimate Starting Strategy Guide

Dec-03-2024 PST

OSRS Leagues 5: Raging Echoes is an exciting new season where players can experience a different way of progressing through Old School RuneScape. Just like with previous leagues, unlocking your first relic and region is crucial for a smoother early game. In this ultimate starting strategy guide for Raging Echoes, we’ll walk you through an optimized pathway to help you hit those early goals quickly. These steps are designed to be accessible for all players, regardless of the tier 1 relic you choose. If you’re unsure about the relic choices, you can refer to our detailed Tier 1 Relic Guide.

The strategy outlined here includes a variety of tasks that will help you progress rapidly, but some tasks may face competition from other players. If you encounter crowded spots or find it difficult to complete a task, simply skip it and move on to the next one.

1. Setting Up and Starting Tasks

Upon entering the game, open up the Leagues menu and select your first relic. Completing the Leagues tutorial is the first task on your list, so make sure to follow through with it. After that, claim your starting items from the sage. You’ll receive the essential Dramen Staff, which will be useful for teleportation and accessing certain areas.

2. Lumbridge Tasks

Head to Lumbridge to start working on some early tasks:

Rat Kill: To the southwest of Lumbridge Castle, you’ll find rats. Kill one to complete the task. If there’s competition, don’t waste time—move to the next step.

Talk to Hans: Speak to Hans to check your age, which will grant you another task.

Climb Stairs in Lumbridge Castle: Head up the northern staircase to complete another task. Then, speak to Duke to claim your free anti-fire shield.

3. Early Combat Tasks

Spider Fight: In the Lumbridge Castle basement, kick a spider to complete a task. If it’s too crowded, skip it.

Pray at Lumbridge Church: Head to the Lumbridge Church and pray to restore your prayer points. This will count as a task.

Talk to Bob: Visit Bob the axe shop owner and ask about his quests.

Get Rewarded: If you’re feeling confident, head to the Stronghold of Security. Kill a spear-holding goblin and bury its bones for a task. This will earn you 10K coins and a pair of fancy boots. Additionally, ensure that your account is secured with two-factor authentication to claim your rewards.

5. Karamja Region

Use your Leagues teleport to head to Karamja. Here, you’ll need to:

Bananas and Knife: Trade with a crew member, and if you see a snake, kill it. Then, buy 11 bananas and a knife.

Fill Crate with Bananas: Run to the crate near the banana plantation, fill it with 10 bananas, and teleport back to save time.

Night’s Rest: Buy a “night’s rest” from the NPC upstairs in exchange for 35 coins.

Fishing Tasks: Purchase a fishing rod and bait from the nearby fishing shop, then talk to the Slayer master upstairs to receive a Slayer task.

7. Additional Tasks in Lumbridge & Draynor Village

Pickpocketing & Combat: Head back to Lumbridge and start pickpocketing men until you have 28 coin pouches. If you’re too low on health, move on to the next step.

Cow Milking and Egg Gathering: In Lumbridge, milk a cow and grab an egg from the nearby chicken farm. You can also kill a chicken if there are any available.
